Nanowrimo poem 7 I Want

This is about the warring currents going on in me right now.

I want:

To lose weight,

To eat a biscuit,

To get strong and slim,

To lie on the sofa with a blanket.

I want to release my neck tension,

So I can swallow and speak without pain.

To stop thinking about my health.

To eat well and move well,

So I can go where and when I please,

To see the sea and not be afraid to sit for hours in A&E.

I want cake.

I want to hug.

I want to go back in time to before the crash,

Before I fell

Before I broke.

I want hope.

And I want to eat a biscuit.
